Francis Carr

Managing Partner
Francis is a member of Milton Street’s Investment Committee and oversees all firm activities including fundraising, investing, portfolio company management, and people development. Prior to co-founding Milton Street in 2016, Francis spent 11 years with The Sterling Group, a Houston-based middle market private equity fund manager. While at Sterling, he participated in 7 platform investments and 7 add-on acquisitions, representing a total enterprise value in excess of $2 billion. He is currently Chairman of IC Biomedical and ZXP Technologies and has previously served on the boards of American Trailer Rental Group (Chairman), American Bath Group, BTEC Turbines, CST Industries, DexKo Global, Liqui-Box and Stackpole. Francis received his B.A. in economics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Bob Hogan

Managing Partner
Bob is a member of Milton Street’s Investment Committee and oversees all firm activities including fundraising, investing, portfolio company management, and people development. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2018, Bob was an Operating Partner with The Sterling Group, where he was responsible for leading strategic, operational, and commercial best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the firm’s diverse portfolio. He is currently on the boards of ZXP Technologies and IC Biomedical and has previously served on the board of CST Industries, Process Barron, Specified Air, Time Manufacturing, American Bath Group (Chairman), and Radix Wire and Cable (Executive Chairman). Additionally, Bob was President and Chief Executive Officer of AmerCable from 1993 to 2012. Bob received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in accounting from Virginia Tech University. He has been an active member of YPO/YPO Gold since 1995.

Hunter Nelson

Partner
Hunter is a member of Milton Street’s Investment Committee and sits on the board of directors of various Milton Street portfolio companies. Prior to co-founding Milton Street in 2016, Hunter was with The Sterling Group, which he joined in 1989 following the sale of Fiber Industries, where he served as Vice President of Administration and General Counsel. He has served on the boards of American Trailer Rental Group, Roofing Supply Group, Propex, Panolam, Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, Sterling Chemicals, and DexKo Global. Additionally, Hunter was a partner in the law firm of Andrews & Kurth LLP, which he joined in 1979. He received his B.B.A. in accounting and J.D. with honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
Don Shaver

Don Shaver

Partner
Don is a member of Milton Street’s Investment Committee and sits on the board of directors of various Milton Street portfolio companies. Prior to co-founding Milton Street in 2016, he was a senior partner and CFO of National Pump & Compressor Ltd., a business he and another partner started in 2007 and sold to United Rentals in 2014. Additionally, Don spent 30 years with accounting and tax advisory firms, including most recently Cook Shaver Parker & Williams, P.C. out of Beaumont, Texas. Don received his B.B.A. in accounting from Lamar University and is a CPA.
Kevin Crook

Kevin Crook

Vice President
Kevin is responsible for transaction evaluation and execution, portfolio company management, and compliance. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2018, Kevin was with The Sterling Group. He began his career in the energy investment banking group at Raymond James, focused on public capital raises and M&A advisory work. Kevin received his B.S.M. in finance from Tulane University.

Tim Bernica

Vice President
Tim is responsible for transaction evaluation and execution, portfolio company management, and deal sourcing. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2018, Tim spent 3 years at The Sterling Group. He began his career in the energy investment banking group at Lazard Freres, focused on M&A and restructuring advisory work. Tim received his B.S. in systems engineering and B.A. in economics from the University of Virginia.
Kendall Childers

Kendall Childers

Vice President, Business Development
Kendall leads Milton Street’s deal sourcing and marketing activities. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2021, Kendall spent 6 years at BBVA in their Sponsor Finance group where she executed and managed leveraged loans to private equity backed companies across industries. She began her career in the audit advisory group at KPMG. Kendall received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in accounting from the University of San Diego.
Emily Nelson

Emily Nelson

Associate, Business Development
Emily is responsible for investor relations and deal sourcing. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2016, Emily served as Executive Assistant at Crane Nelson, a middle market private equity firm in Houston. Emily received her B.A. in english from The University of Texas at Austin and her M.A. in contemporary art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York.
Reid Shows

Reid Shows

Associate
Reid is responsible for transaction valuation and execution. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2021, Reid spent 2 years in the energy and industrials group at Lazard, focused on M&A and restructuring advisory work. Reid received his B.S. in finance and M.S.F. in corporate finance and financial engineering from the University of Alabama.
Kinga Lesinska

Kinga Lesinska

Analyst
Kinga is responsible for transaction valuation and execution. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2021, Kinga served as a Finance Intern at Clayton Capital Partners. Kinga received her B.A. in psychology and M.S. in finance from Lindenwood University, where she was a four-time All-American Athlete.
Annie Kansas

Annie Kansas

Office Manager
Annie manages firm operations and accounting. Prior to joining Milton Street in 2016, Annie served as Controller and Office Manager at Crane Nelson, a middle market private equity firm in Houston. Additionally, she has acted as the primary bookkeeper and managed human resources and administration for the private family office of Hunter Nelson since 2000. Annie attended the University of Texas at Austin.
