Francis Carr

Managing Director

Prior to co-founding Milton Street Capital, Francis Carr spent 11 years with The Sterling Group, a Houston-based middle market private equity manager. While at Sterling he participated in 7 platform investments and 7 add-on acquisitions, representing a total enterprise value in excess of $2 billion. He has served on the boards of BTEC Turbines, Stackpole, Liqui-Box, American Bath Group, CST Industries, and DexKo Global. Francis received a B.A. in economics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Hunter Nelson

Managing Director

Prior to co-founding Milton Street Capital, Hunter Nelson was with The Sterling Group, which he joined in 1989 following the sale of Fiber Industries, where he had served as Vice President of Administration and General Counsel. He has served on the boards of Roofing Supply Group, Propex, Panolam, Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, Sterling Chemicals, and DexKo Global. Prior to Fiber Industries, Hunter was a partner in the law firm of Andrews & Kurth LLP, which he joined in 1979. He received his B.B.A. in accounting and J.D. with honors from The University of Texas at Austin.

Annie Kansas

Office Manager

Before joining Milton Street Capital, Annie served as controller and Office Manager at Crane Nelson, LLC, a middle market private equity firm in Houston.  She has acted as the primary bookkeeper and managed human resources and administration for the private family office of Hunter Nelson since 2000. Annie attended the University of Texas at Austin.

Emily Nelson

Analyst

Prior to joining Milton Street Capital, Emily served as Executive Assistant at Crane Nelson. Emily received her B.A. in English from The University of Texas at Austin, and her M.A. in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York.

Don Shaver

Investment Committee Member

Don Shaver is currently the sole member/manager of BD Advisors, LLC. Previously, he was a senior partner and CFO of National Pump & Compressor Ltd., a business he and another partner started in 2007 and sold to United Rentals in 2014. Prior to National Pump and Compressor, Ltd., Don spent 30 years with accounting and tax advisory firms, most recently with Cook Shaver Parker & Williams, P.C. out of Beaumont, Texas. Don received his BBA in Accounting from Lamar University and is a CPA.

Kenneth O'Donnell

Investment Committee Member

Kenny is a co-founder of Colton Capital Partners, a family-owned investment vehicle based in Houston. He currently serves on the board of several private companies and on the advisor’s board of Cadence Bank. Prior to founding Colton Capital Partners, Mr. O’Donnell spent six years at Dupre Interests, LLC working with Cornelius Dupre to manage all investments and build/acquire the four majority-owned oilfield service companies that would later form Dupre Energy Services. Before Dupre Interests, he worked at Growth Capital Partners. Kenny received his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from SMU Cox School of Business.

Tobin O'Donnell

Investment Committee Member

Tobin is a co-founder of Colton Capital Partners.  He is involved in all aspects of investment management and business development.  He currently serves on the board of several private companies. Prior to founding Colton, Tobin worked directly for the worldwide business manager of the largest division at Oceaneering International, Inc., serving the offshore energy industry. He began his career in finance, development, and operations at Ley Wilson Development. Tobin received his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University.
